Squid and Plone: BFF 4Ever

WANTED: Round-robin proxy in front of 2 Zope instances so that I can take one instance down at a time for upgrades PROBLEM: Running ICP queries against two zeo clients instances just wasn’t working as the Plone tutorials suggest to use, and when one client would go down, the Squid(2.6) took a tumble. I assume this problem has a little to do with my understanding of squid and also the fa…

Carlos de la Guardia: Zope is the father of them all

I knew Zope was one of the oldest Python frameworks around, and some people have discussed the many things Zope has introduced to the Python world over the years, but I never suspected just how old it really is, until I saw this search result on Amazon:

Weird Amazon result for Zope

1980? Wow, Zope really was way ahead of the times. Too bad the book is not available anymore.
