A rant against the fuzzy notion of MVC and it’s overuse in modern web development.

Ok. We cannot keep quiet anymore. We need a pipe to planet.plone.org too. We hereby announce — the Plone Solutions blog.
And for those who are intereted in the technical bits, it runs on
Plone, newsitems and a smart folder. No funky blog software, no
trackbacks, no external tools, just plain Plone.
This will be the home of the voices of the Plone Solutions team, when we feel like it.
Some of us have blogs of our own already, but may still appear here
occasionally. As of today, the people that you might see using this
channel are: Wichert Akkerman, Geir Bækholt, Tor Arne Johansen, Denis
Mishunov, Martijn Pieters, Florian Schulze, Helge Tesdal and Dorneles
Treméa. Many of you know us all, or at least several of us. It is nice
to have a voice again.

Another customer site went live today – old friends of Isotoma Blue Latitude asked us to help them build their new site. Once again it’s based on Plone, with design by Rob Dennis of Red Red Robot. We’re really happy with the way it looks, even if all that transparency was a bit of a bugger in IE6. http://www.bluelatitude.net/
